A new shopping centre management suite at The Oracle Shopping Centre for Hammerson nears occupation.
To replace cramped, artificially lit basement accommodation, the Management and Technical Services staff at The Oracle Shopping Centre will soon be enjoying abundant daylight and great views over Reading Minster.
The steel framed roof extension has a mix of full height windows and translucent polycarbonate cladding to minimise its impact as viewed from the listed buildings on Gunn Street.
Open plan offices are supplemented by glass fronted meeting rooms, a collaboration area and booth seating for informal meetings.
Two large conference rooms are included, one with a sliding folding screen to sub-divide the space.
A spacious reception area will great visitors and members of the public who will access the suite from the lower level car park lobby.
HFM have delivered this project for Hammerson in collaboration with Opera - project managers, Edge - interior designers, and Basebuild - contractors. Clarke Nicholls Marcel were the structural engineers and Hoare Lea were the M&E consultant.
